The “Simply Stirred” Way

Spirit Forward Classics

Manhattan
2 oz Bourbon or Rye (I prefer 100 proof!)
1 oz Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth
3 Dashes Angostura Bitters
2 Dashes Orange Bitters
Build in a mixing glass. Stir with ice. Strain into a coupe. Garnish with a brandied cherry.

Martini
**No vodka martinis here! But adapt if you must.

2 1/4 oz Gin
3/4 oz Dolin Dry Vermouth
3 Dashes Reagan’s Orange Bitters
Build in a mixing glass. Stir for a LONG time with ice. Strain into a Coupe. Garnish with a heavy lemon zest using a channel peeler.

Old Fashioned
4 Dashes Angostura Bitters
4 Dashes Orange Bitters
1/4 oz Demerara Syrup
2 oz Bourbon (or any spirit of your choice!)
Build in a rocks glass. Stir with ice. Garnish with an orange peel.

Sazerac
2 oz Rye
1/4 oz Simple Syrup
5-7 Dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
1 Dash Angostura Bitters
Build in a mixing glass. Strain into a chilled rocks glass with an absinthe rinse. Use a heavy lemon zest on the drink/glass but discard the peel before serving.

Citrus Classics

Bee’s Knees
2 oz Gin
3/4 oz Lemon Juice
3/4 oz Honey Syrup
Build in a tin. Shake with ice. Strain into a collins glass with ice. Garnish with a lemon wheel.

Gimlet
2 oz Gin
3/4 oz Lime Juice
3/4 oz Simple Syrup
Build in tin. Shake with ice. Strain into collins glass with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Sour
1 Egg White
2 oz Spirit
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Lime Juice
3/4 oz Simple Syrup
Build in tin. Dry shake first, then shake with ice. Strain into a coupe. Garnish with bitters.

The Last Word
1 1/2 oz Gin
3/4 oz Lime Juice
3/4 oz Green Chartreuse
1/2 oz Maraschino
Build in tin. Shake with ice. Strain into coupe. Garnish with brandied cherry.
